Why we should do baking on Thursday.

My convincing must have been good because we are now going to do our first baking on this Thursday. I will post what we have been making.

Why we should do baking on Thursday.

I strongly believe that the baking should be a part of our learning because it's
covers maths reading and lots of other things.If you were doing baking you are
using measurement and adding skills. We will have to read the instructions first,
and problem solve if we need to double the mixture because there are lots of
people. You will learn some life-long skills about how to use the ovens in
microwaves and other kitchen appliances.

If we were to do it I think that we would have to split up into groups because our
kitchen is not very big. We would have some older kids and younger kids and
each group. I think the best day to do it is on a Thursday because on Fridays we
have assemblies one week and tech days on the other so Thursdays would be a
good day.

We can make things like cake cupcakes brownies biscuits but we would have to
make enough for the whole school or one class or just the people who baked.

 We need to look at the safety of the food. 

We need to be safe with the ingredients so they are not off. 

We need to wash our hands before starting so we don't get sick

If we are using a knife we will have to make sure that only the older kids use them
and that we know how to use them properly.

We have too keep everything like the bench and tables clean

We will probably be using the oven and if we do the teacher will have to do it for
us

We will need teacher supervision

Doing dishes as we go instead of leaving them to the end.

We could maybe use some of the ingredients from the garden if we make sure
they are ready to be picked and clean
