SLJ W2 D4 A2

Week 2
Day 4
Activity 2: Celebrating Diversity [4 points]

For this activity we are going to become more familiar with some of these
amazing indigenous communities. Please click on the links below to learn
more about these fascinating groups.
Once you have finished learning about these groups, please choose the two
that interest you the most.
On your blog tell us the names of the two groups that you chose and then tell
us at least two interesting facts about each group. To earn full points, you
must provide two facts about both groups - 4 facts in total.

I chose Papuan people and Aboriginal Australians

  1. Aboriginal Australians have lived on the continent for over 50,000 years.
  2. Some people say that Aboriginal Australians migrated in on boats 70,000
years ago.

  1. Papuans main religion is 95% Christianity
  2.  They are now estimated to have around 20,000 people, or 0.3 percent of
the population.

  1. Good morning Jess,

You have found out some great facts about Papuan and Australian Aboriginal people. Thanks for sharing! What was the most interesting fact that you learned? I think it is really interesting to read about the Australian Aborginal people thought to have migrated over 70,000 years ago. That is such a long time ago!

Did you know anything about these two indigenous cultures before starting this activity?

I hope you are having a wonderful day and I look forward to your reply!
