Activity 2: Sporting Heroes

week 4 Activity 2: Sporting Heroes

This one I have to say my sporting hero.

My sporting hero is my dance teacher, her name is Emma. She is my sports hero because she is a really good dancer and she is so nice I have danced with her for about 5 years. She has taught me lots. 2 times a year I dance on the stage in Greymouth.

Here is a photo of Emma
Here is a photo of me doing a leg hold on top of mt George.

  1. Morena Jess,

My name is Megan and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team along with Allie, Ellee, and Emiely. I am excited to see how busy you have been over the last few weeks and to have the opportunity to comment on your blog posts.

Wow, both you and Emma look like amazing dancers. It is incredibly sweet that you look up to your dance teacher so much. Have you shared with Emma that she is your sporting hero? Emma sounds like she has been a huge part of your dancing career and it is inspiring that she has put in so much time to dance teaching. What is it about Emma that inspires you so much?

My sporting hero would have to be Sophie Pascoe. Sophie was in a freak accident which resulted in her losing one of her legs. However, this didn't stop her. She has shown an amazing amount of determination and hard work which has lead her to being the most successful Paralympic swimmer in New Zealand. Sophie's courage and determination inspires me to work harder to achieve my goals.

Thank you for sharing amazing pictures of yourself and your inspiring sporting hero. I am looking forward to hearing back from you Jess.

    Have a beautiful day,
    Megan

  2. Hi Jess

What a great photo of you and Emma! Isn't it great that you have such a good role model.
I see that Megan has already commented on your post but I just had to tell you how proud I am that you have chosen Emma as your sporting hero. Emma is my God Daughter and next door neighbour. I have know Emma since she was born and she have grown up with my children. We are all proud of her "Pink Pulse Dance" that she has created and the work she puts into teaching all her students.

I can't wait to see Emma to tell her all about your post.

Great choice and keep dancing Jess!

    Until next time

    Allie :)
