ReplyDeleteIt’s Leisha again. How are you? It is awesome to see you have completed lots of the Summer Learning Journey activities over the summer break so far. It is my first day back commenting on your blog posts and I am so excited to read all the great things you have been doing.
You have found three great facts! It is a shame the video for Venus did not work for you. I have just tried the link and it should work now. Give it another try and see if you can find another fact about her you could share :). The question about whether men should get paid more than women for sports is quite a controversial topic. There are many that agree, and many that do not agree. One perspective is that there are less people who watch women’s sport compared to men’s sport, therefore women playing these sports get paid less as the men have a larger audience. Another perspective is that women haven’t been playing sports for as long as men, and so people are still getting used to watching them. However, we are now starting to see more and more women playing sports professionally. Perhaps we will see a change in pay equality over the next decade.
I am interested to know what your opinion is about this. Why do you think men are paid more than women? Do you think they should be paid equally?

DeleteI have now finished the SLJ. go have a look at the last post. I think if they are doing the same amount of work in the sports they should be paid the same.you made a good point about why men get paid more. I think that women tennis is more popular than men tennis so I think that more people will start to watch women sport more so it will get better in the years to come. thanks again
