Bonus Activity: Women at Work

Bonus Activity: Women at Work
This one I have to write the rest of the story.

One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you…

yell out RUN! Everybody's face is in shock and they don't know whats happening. They run like wild cats. I say "planes are shooting at us." Fireman fight the blaze. The planes keep shooting and hit lots of people. Then they fly away.
Fire fighters control the blaze and everyone is looking for answers. I say "we are at war," and everyone starts to panic but I yell "stay calm, they are gone." Half of our ship is charcoal and is in ashes. The nurses on the ship run to the people who were hit. Luckily no one dies and we are close to shore so everybody gets in the water and swims before the ship sinks. Everybody helps by getting the people that are hurt and any little kids or people who don't know how to swim to the shore. The country was already at war and I had to go but luckily I survived.

  1. Hi Jessica

Great story! I really enjoyed reading what you have written. It is a really excellent short story.
I can almost feel the horror as the planes start shooting and the people are running. With the boat burning and the planes shooting if would be hard to know where to run to.
It would have been a really sad job being a nurse during the war, they would have seen some terrible things, but would have also been able to help so many people.
I am pleased that no one died in your story and that everyone was able to make it to shore. Just lucky that the ship was so close to the shore so that you could all swim.

You have a great imagination Jessica. Do you like writing time at school?
What is your favourite style of writing?

    Awesome job once again!

    Until next time

    Allie :)
