Week 4
Day 2
Activity 3: Girl Power [6 points]
For this activity, we would like to choose one role model and tell us about
them. What makes them a role model? They can be people you know
personally, people you have seen on television or the internet, people you
have heard on the radio or people you have heard about from a friend of
family member. You do not have to know them personally.

On your blog, tell us about your chosen role model. Please be sure to tell us
why you think they are a role model.
why you think they are a role model.
My role model is Kate Sheppard because she did the unknown by protesting for the
right for women to vote. She proves that people should stand up and fight for what
they believe.

Hi Jess
ReplyDeleteWhat a great role model you have chosen. Kate Sheppard is a great New Zealander. And look at what an important person she is in our history. If it wasn't for her believing in what she believed in it probable would have taken a lot longer for women in New Zealand to be able to vote.
It is great that if you feel strongly about something that you are able to stand up for what you believe in!
I am sure that this is you too Jess. You are a great person and if you believe in something so strongly I am sure you will be right there making sure that everything if fair and alright.
I am also sure that you have been a wonderful role model for lots of kids at Kumara School who over the years have looked up to you. You are always there to help them and support them. Well done Jess!
Until next time
Allie :)
