Week 3
Day 1
Activity 2: Influencers [4 points]

For this activity please imagine that you had the chance to create your own
YouTube channel. What would it be about? What kinds of videos would you
create and post?
On your blog, write a description of the YouTube channel you would like to
create.

If I was to make a YouTube channel than I would make a baking channel or do
challenges with my sisters or even prank them. I am not the person who would love
having a YouTube channel but it might be fun. I don't watch YouTube, I have
watched a little bit before but not that much I would rather play sports or go and play
outside. I would do the baking because at school we bake and I really enjoy it.

Week 2
Day 5
Activity 2: Leading by Example [4 points]

For this activity, we would like you to follow in their footsteps and perform a
random act of kindness.
On your blog, describe your random act of kindness. What did you do? How
did the person react? How did it make you feel?
I did this a while ago.
My act of kindness was when I gave a lolly to the lollipop man (road construction
man who changes the stop go sign). It was a typical wet day on the West Coast and
he looked sick of his job so I gave him a lolly to make him happier. I think that he
was surprised but happy. It made me feel happy and like I did a good thing.

Listen to the Moon from Michel Morpurgo is my favourite book. It is a story of
survival. There is a girl who was going to visit her dad who was injured in the war
that was still happening when her boat was hit by the war and there were no
survivors except her and she floated to a abandon island waiting for someone to
rescue her……..

Week 2
Day 3
Activity 2: The Right to an Education [4 points]

For this activity, we would like you like you to write a short story. The story
can be about anything that you wish but to receive full points it must be at
least 10 sentences long!
On your blog, share your short story. We can’t wait to read it!
This is based on a true story and yes I was the one who fell in the creek.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Kimberly. She was the younger sister to
Hannah. Hannah had a friend named Amy and she was staying at Kimberly and
Hannah house. The next day they went down to there farm in search of something to
do. When they came upon a great idea when they saw the stack of old tyres from
the silage. Their idea was to make a tyre swing but first they had to find the perfect
place. After a few minutes of thinking they knew exactly where the perfect place was
for the tyre swing, but it turned out to be much harder than it looked because they
have to get the tyre over a waist deep creek that was about 1 and a half to two
metres in width. There only plan was that one person carefully cross the creek over
an arching tree and they would through the tyre over. Now This plan was supposed
to work but the tyre didn't think so. As Hannah swung back to throw the tyre over the
clear creek you could see in Amy's face that she was thinking  ́is it going to work or
not ́. Well it was far from working the tyre landed just before the land but was close
enough for kimberly to reach and she grabbed it but it was two heavy so it pulled her
into the water and when she stood up in the freezing water Amy and Hannah started
to laugh so hard. Any way they did get the tyre up and had a good laugh about what
had happened.

Week 2

DAY 3: WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Activity 1: The Right to Vote [4 points]
For this activity, let’s imagine that the government decides to create a new
$10 bank note and replace Kate with a picture of a different New Zealand
woman.
On your blog, tell us who you think the government should put on the new $10
note. Please provide us with a picture of this amazing woman and a short
explanation of why you have selected her as Kate Sheppard’s replacement.
I do think that Kate Shepard deserved her place on the $10
note but if someone else had to it would be:

If we were to change the New Zealand $10 note I think that
Jacinder Ardern should have here face on it or Jenny Shipley
the first woman prime minister  in New Zealand.

I don’t know much about Jenny Shipley but I do know that she
would have had to be very good and fight very hard to become
New Zealand Prime Minister.

Jacinder Ardern is the second woman to be Prime Minister in
New Zealand and is the world's youngest female head of
government. He was only 37 when she was elected. She also
had a baby while running a country.
